These are hard-seat, soft-sheet, hard berth and a soft-berth portion. I would reckon to pick the hard-seat section because it is very much tolerable for day traveling but you may go for other class if there’s an over-night stay.
The main routes of the trains are from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City and the other trains from Hanoi to the northwest and northeast are taken to China. Moreover, there are other local trains present in the cit but they do not cover the full part of the route and got many pit stops throughout the journey.
